LMS Post ~ 20th Annual World AIDS Day ~ December 1st

Today is the 20th annual World AIDS Day. In the U.S. people seem to think that for the most part, this epidemic is over and/or that the consequences are akin to other chronic diseases like diabetes where you are on drugs but since you can still live 20 years with it the fear is lowered (I heard this all the time working in the hospital.). But in less developed countries, it is still a very real pandemic with no hope due to a lack of education, drugs, and cultural importance for a cure.

If you don't know your AIDS facts or statistics, you should take today to go learn them.

Here are some of the more provocative advertisements to educate people that AIDS is still a very real thing, France is most notably the most provocative. I wish ads were as striking here, but apparently ignorance and censorship are bliss.
